The most common reason for wrinkles, skin discoloration, uneven skin tone, and dark spots when people age is the sun and its harmful effects to our skin. Notice that for most of us, the skin on our buttocks have better skin tone and is smoother than the
skin on our faces. Sad to say but this is true. This is because
our face is the part of our body that is most exposed to the sun.
Finding the right product with the right
kind of SPF is very important to delay the signs of aging. Dermatologists
recommend at least SPF 15 for people who stay indoors and at least SPF 30 for people who are often outdoors. Yes, even fluorescent lights and the lights from our computers may have
an effect in our skin. You may not notice this today, but when you age, you
will notice it when it is too late.
I have been using Neutrogena Fine Fairness
Brightening UV Moisture for about 2 weeks now and I really love it! It has SPF
50 so it is more than enough even for outdoors. It has antioxidants especially
Vitamin A, C and E and green tea extract. Antioxidants may actually reverse
some of the discoloration and wrinkles associated with aging. These
antioxidants work by speeding up the skin's natural repair systems and by directly
inhibiting further damage.
The best thing about this product is that
it has lightweight texture that is oil free and non-sticky. After application, it doesn't feel greasy on your skin. It also does not affect any coverage when
you put foundation on top of it. I have no problems with it breaking me out.
For those people who do not like scents in
their skin care, take note that this product has this faint fresh scent, but it is not that strong. I
usually don’t like scents especially if I apply it on my face but I am not
bothered by this.
This product cost me around P660 at Watsons. The only bad thing about this is the amount of product you get: you only get 30ml of product. The image below shows just the right amount of product you need to cover your whole face.
The verdict: This is a very good sun screen that
suits combination to oily skin.
