Weekend Haul: PCX Powerplant Mall

I'm so glad we decided to spend this long weekend at home instead of going somewhere for the holidays. I felt that I needed this four day stay-cation to relax and recharge myself after the last few weeks, which were super tiring.

But of course we didn't just stay home the entire weekend. ^_^

The Powerplant Mall in Rockwell Makati is a place where I head when I want to get out of the house for a stroll or a movie. Whenever I'm there, I always manage to stop by their cosmetics shops like PCX and The Body Shop. Although most of the time I manage to resist the temptation to buy anything, the hauling bug just happened to bite me last Saturday.

Read more to learn about the things I bought.

The Body Shop was having a huge sale when I dropped by last Saturday (I think the sale is still on right now). They were having a buy 1 get 1 free promo for this Extra Virgin Minerals compact foundation so my sister and I grabbed one each and saved 50% off the price! The foundation retails for PHP1650 so we each paid only PHP825 for one foundation. This is just in time as well, since I already hit pan on my MAC Mineralize Foundation. They only had I think 4 shades available at the time and I got the shade that is closest to MAC's NC20, which happens to be 108 Golden Ivory.

The following is the product description found in the official The Body Shop website:
This cream-to-powder mineral foundation contains pure minerals and cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil for a smooth, matte finish. It has an ultra-blendable formula and contains a custom brush for flawless application. Medium to full coverage Smooth, matte finish Integrated cruelty-free brush Fragrance-free Paraben-free
Paraben-free? I'm liking this already! ^_^

I also bought these Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks from PCX. I talked about my little oops moment with one of these lipsticks in my previous post. Check it out if you haven't yet. My initial impression on these lipsticks is that they are popular for a reason: they have a great texture and pigmentation. The creme finish lipstick (668 Prim Rose) was PHP450.00 while the matte finish lipstick (002 Pink Pout) was PHP475.00.

Lastly, I was having a blush obsession lately and when I saw these blushes from In2it, I just couldn't resist. These In2it blushes were very nice swatched and seemed like really good value for the price.

I bought two single blushes in 08 Mystery and 09 Envy. These were PHP299.00 each.

I also got this In2it Waterproof Blush Set in 01 Lovebird for PHP379.75.

So that's it for my weekend haul! I'll definitely be posting reviews and swatches of these in the future. Have a great week ahead! ^_^
