A couple of months ago, I picked up two Rouge Unlimited lipsticks from Shu Uemura. I've been eyeing these lipsticks for quite some time already but I've always been able to talk myself out of buying one because I found them a bit expensive. After months of drooling over the pretty lipstick tubes and creamy colors, I finally gave in. Actually, I bought these on two different occasions. One was while waiting for a delayed flight in the Hong Kong airport, and the other was an impulse buy while browsing in Power Plant Mall in Rockwell.
I didn't realize until recently that the two shades that I got was named almost the same: BG 932 and BG 922.
These boxes are sized differently because one lipstick (BG 932) is from a discontinued tube design that was was entirely made of a transparent plastic. Apparently when I bought this, it was already about to be discontinued. The new Rouge Unlimited lipstick (BG 922) has a longer and thinner tube with chrome accents, as seen below.
On the tube, these two lipsticks look quite similar. They're both nudes, but BG 932 (right) has more coral undertones while BG 922 (left) has more pinkish undertones.
The difference is more apparent once these lipsticks have been swatched.

Although these are both Rouge Unlimited lipsticks, there are distinct differences between the discontinued and the new version. The newer version is creamier and more pigmented while the discontinued version applies more sheer and doesn't feel as heavy on the lips. Still, I love them both and would love to purchase another shade if only they weren't so expensive!
