Estee Lauder Pure Color Sensuous Rouge Lip Color Review

I was attracted to this lipstick because of its beautiful packaging. I think it has one of the prettiest looking lipstick tubes I've ever seen (a tie with the YSL Rouge Volupte). As seen below, it comes in a slim tube with the Estee Lauder logo etched in gold, similar to other lipsticks in the Pure Color range.

I bought this in the shade Pink Seduction at Essences in Power Plant Mall for PHP1500.

Pink Seduction is a medium pink shade with a frosted finish.

This lipstick is composed of a moisturizing center surrounded by a creamy lip color.

Coverage is sheer to build-able. The left swatch in the photo above is with one swipe, while the right swatch is with three swipes. I am not too crazy about its frosted finish, I think it has more frost than I would prefer.

However, its texture is super creamy and it lasts longer than I had previously expected. I put this on at the start of the day and forgot about it. At the end of the day, it wore off a little but I still looked like I had lipstick on. It is very moisturizing and it doesn't make my lips peel at the end of the day. If this had less frost it would be perfect for me.

I highly recommend this lipstick formula. However, at only 10 shades, the shade range is a bit limited in my opinion, with a focus on the more darker shades (the shade I bought is the lightest one). Still, if you find a shade you love from this lipstick line grab it!
